To gather
The infinitive לאסוף has many different uses.
First, in the context of cleaning, after we sweep the floor, we can collect the dirt using a dustpan.
לְשֵׁם הַפֺּעַל 'לֶאֱסוֹף' יֵשׁ הַרְבֵּה מְאוֹד שִׁימּוּשִׁים: קוֹדֶם כֹּל, אִם אֲנַחְנוּ מְדַבְּרִים עַל נִקָּיוֹן אָז אַחֲרֵי שֶׁטִּאְטֵאנוּ אֶת הָרִצְפָּה אֲנַחְנוּ יְכוֹלִים לֶאֱסוֹף אֶת הַלִּכְלוּךְ בְּעֶזְרַת יָעֶה.
Someone with long hair can gather their hair into a ponytail using a hair tie.
לְמִי שֶׁיֵּשׁ שֵׂיעָר אָרוֹךְ הוּא יָכוֹל לֶאֱסוֹף אֶת הַשֵּׂיעָר בְּאֶמְצָעוּת גּוּמִיָּה.
If someone wants to travel to the same place as me, I can pick them up in my car.
אִם מִישֶׁהוּ רוֹצֶה לִנְסוֹעַ אִתִּי לְאוֹתוֹ מָקוֹם שֶׁאֲנִי נו ֹסַעַת, אֲנִי יְכוֹלָה לֶאֱסוֹף אוֹתוֹ בַּמְּכוֹנִית שֶׁלִּי.
Some people like to collect various items, such as stamps or cards. Others collect many objects at home, even if they don’t need them, and when Passover cleaning arrives, they have to throw them away.
יֵשׁ אֲנָשִׁים שֶׁנּוֹהֲגִים לֶאֱסוֹף כָּל מִינֵי פְּרִיטִים, לְמָשָׁל: בּוּלִים אוֹ קְלָפִים. וְיֵשׁ אֲנָשִׁים שֶׁנּוֹהֲגִים לֶאֱסוֹף כָּל מִינֵי דְּבָרִים בַּבַּיִת אֲפִילּוּ שֶׁהֵם לֹא צְרִיכִים, וְאָז כְּשֶׁמַּגִּיעַ נִקְיוֹן הַפֶּסַח צָרִיךְ לִזְרוֹק אוֹתָם.
Here are some sentences using the infinitive "לאסוף":
הִנֵּה כַּמָּה מִשְׁפָּטִים עִם שֵׁם הַפֹּעַל 'לֶאֱסוֹף':
1. When picking fruit, it's important to collect them carefully so they don’t get damaged, place them in baskets, take them home, and wash them.

3. אַחֲרֵי אֲרוּחַת יוֹם שִׁישִּׁי, כּוּלָּם עוֹזְרִים לֶאֱסוֹף אֶת הַצַּלָּחוֹת, הַכּוֹסוֹת וְהַסּכו"ם מֵהַשּׁוּלְחָן, לְהַכְנִיס אוֹתָם לְמֵדִּיחַ הַכֵּלִים וּלְהַשְׁאִיר אֶת הַמִּטְבָּח נָקִי וּמְסוּדָּר.
4. After finishing a picnic in nature, we need to gather all the leftover food and empty bottles, place them in bags, and leave the surroundings clean.
4. אַחֲרֵי שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ מְסַיְּמִים פִּיקְנִיק בַּטֶּבַע, צָרִיךְ לֶאֱסוֹף אֶת כָּל שְׁאֵרִיּוֹת הַמָּזוֹן וְהַבַּקְבּוּקִים הָרֵיקִים לְשַׂקִּיּוֹת וּלְהַשְׁאִיר אֶת הַסְּבִיבָה נְקִיָּה.
