To measure
I love going to the clothing store and trying on clothes before I buy them.
אֲנִי אוֹהֶבֶת לָלֶכֶת לְחֲנוּת הַבְּגָדִים וְלִמְדּוֹד אֶת הַבֶּגֶד לִפְנֵי שֶׁאֲנִי קוֹנָה אוֹתוֹ.
But I can measure not only clothes but also height. When my children were young, I used to measure their height every few months and mark the new height on the wall.
אֲבָל אֲנִי יְכוֹלָה לִמְדּוֹד לֹא רַק בְּגָדִים אֶלָּא גַּם גּוֹבַהּ. כְּשֶׁהַיְּלָדִים הָיוּ קְטַנִּים נָהַגְתִּי לִמְדּוֹד לָהֶם אֶת הַגּוֹבַהּ בְּכָל כַּמָּה חוֹדָשִׁים וּלְסַמֵּן אֶת הַגּוֹבַהּ הֶחָדָשׁ עַל הַקִּיר.
If we can measure something, we can know if we have a little or a lot, but there are things that cannot be measured.
אִם אֲנַחְנוּ יְכוֹלִים לִמְדּוֹד מַשֶּׁהוּ אֲנַחְנוּ יְכוֹלִים לָדַעַת אִם יֵשׁ לָנוּ מְעַט אוֹ הַרְבֵּה אֲבָל יֵשׁ דְּבָרִים שֶׁאִי אֶפְשָׁר לִמְדּוֹד.
For example: How can love be measured? Even though love cannot be measured, we know if we have a lot of it.
לְמָשָׁל: אֵיךְ אֶפְשָׁר לִמְדּוֹד אַהֲבָה?
אֲפִילּוּ שֶׁאִי אֶפְשָׁר לִמְדּוֹד אַהֲבָה, אֲנַחְנוּ יוֹדְעִים אִם יֵשׁ לָנוּ הַרְבֵּה.
Here are some sentences with the infinitive "לִמְדּוֹד":

1. The doctor asked to measure my blood pressure to check for any changes in the latest results.
