A sweater is an item of clothing that is intended to keep us warm in cold weather and is worn over a shirt.
הַסְּוֵדֶר הוּא פְּרִיט לְבוּשׁ שֶׁמַּטְּרָתוֹ לְחַמֵּם אוֹתָנוּ בְּמֶזֶג אֲוִיר קַר וְלוֹבְשִׁים אוֹתוֹ בְּדֶרֶךְ כְּ לָל מֵעַל חוּלְצָה.
A sweater is usually made of wool and there are thousands of beautiful patterns of sweaters that are knitted by hand or by knitting machines.
הַסְּוֵדֶר עָשׂוּי בְּדֶרֶךְ כְּלָל מִצֶּמֶר וְיֵשׁ אַלְפֵי דּוּגְמָאוֹת יָפוֹת שֶׁל סְוֵדֵרִים הַסְּרוּגִים יָדָנִית אוֹ בִּמְכוֹנוֹת סְרִיגָה.
Grandmothers used to knit sweaters for their grandchildren, and even today there are those who love to knit, but it seems to me that not as much as in the past.
