מַצַּב רוּחַ

The expression MATSAV – RUACH (mood) is SMICHUT. SMICHUT is a phenomenon of two nouns from different fields that join to create a new meaning.

Matsav = Situation

Ruach = Wind\spirit

When we talk about mood, we are not talking about the weather at all, but about the person's mental state.

The expression 'mood' is neutral. You can be in a good mood and you can be in a bad mood.

I once knew someone who was always in a bad mood, so I kicked him out of my life and since then I have always been in a good mood.

הַבִּיטּוּי מַצַּב רוּחַ הוּא סְמִיכוּת. סְמִיכוּת הוּא תּוֹפָעָה שֶׁל שְׁנֵי שֵׁמוֹת עֶצֶם מִתְּחוּמִים שׁוֹנִים שֶׁחוֹבְרִים יַחַד כְּדֵי לִיצוֹר מַשְׁמָעוּת חֲדָשָׁה.

מַצָּב = Situation

רוּחַ = Wind\spirit

כְּשֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ מְדַבְּרִים עַל מַצַּב רוּחַ, אֲנַחְנוּ לֹא מְדַבְּרִים בִּכְלָל עַל מֶזֶג הָאֲוִיר, אֶלָּא עַל הַמַּצָּב הַנַּפְשִׁי שֶׁל הָאָדָם.

הַבִּיטּוּי 'מַצַּב רוּחַ' הוּא נֵיטְרָלִי. אֶפְשָׁר לִהְיוֹת בְּמַצַּב רוּחַ טוֹב וְאֶפְשָׁר לִהְיוֹת בְּמַצַּב רוּחַ רַע.

פַּעַם הִכַּרְתִּי מִישֶׁהוּ שֶׁהָיָה כָּל הַזְּמַן בְּמַצַּב רוּחַ רַע, אָז הֵעַפְתִּי אוֹתוֹ מֵהַחַיִּים שֶׁלִּי וּמֵאָז אֲנִי כָּל הַזְּמַן בְּמַצַּב רוּחַ טוֹב.
