Take off the gloves

We use this expression when we want to say that we need to deal with a certain issue more firmly and forcefully after a certain period of being cautious.

אֲנַחְנוּ מִשְׁתַּמְּשִׁים בַּבִּיטּוּי הַזֶּה כְּשֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ רוֹצִים לוֹמַר שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ צְרִיכִים לְטַפֵּל בְּנוֹשֵׂא מְסוּיָּם בְּצוּרָה יוֹתֵר תַּקִּיפָה וְעָצְמָתִית אַחֲרֵי זְמַן מָה שֶׁבּוֹ הִתְנַהַגְנוּ בִּזְהִירוּת.

Think about it for a moment... When I have gloves on my hands, I don't do all the things I do when I don't have gloves on.

חִשְׁבוּ עַל זֶה לְרֶגַע... כְּשֶׁיֵּשׁ לִי כְּפָפוֹת עַל הַיָּדַיִם אֲנִי לֹא עוֹשָׂה כָּל מִינֵי דְּבָרִים שֶׁאֲנִי עוֹשָׂה כְּשֶׁאֵין לִי כְּפָפוֹת עַל הַיָּדַיִם.

For example: I don't touch wet things so that the glove doesn't get wet.

לְמָשָׁל: אֲנִי לֹא נוֹגַעַת בִּדְבָרִים רְטוּבִּים כְּדֵי שֶׁהַכְּפָפָה לֹא תֵּרָטֵב.

So if you have an issue in your life that you've been handling too gently and haven't gotten the results you were hoping for, it's time to take the gloves off.

אָז אִם יֵשׁ לָכֶם נוֹשֵׂא בַּחַיִּים שֶׁטִּפַּלְתֶּם בּוֹ יוֹתֵר מִדַּי בַּעֲדִינוּת וְלֹא קִבַּלְתֶּם אֶת הַתּוֹצָאוֹת שֶׁקִּוִּיתֶם, הִגִּיעַ הַזְּמַן "לְהָסִיר אֶת הַכְּפָפוֹת".
