(Because of) so many trees, you don’t see the forest
The expression "You can't see the forest for so many trees" tells us that if there are too many details, it's hard to see the main point.
הַבִּיטּוּי "מֵרוֹב עֵצִים לֹא רוֹאִים אֶת הַיַּעַר" רוֹצֶה לְהַגִּיד לָנוּ שֶׁאִם יֵשׁ יוֹתֵר מִדַּי פְּרָטִים קָשֶׁה לִרְאוֹת אֶת הָעִיקָּר.
Listen to a story: Yossi's parents took him on a Bar Mitzvah trip to Europe and Yossi's father wanted to visit as many places as possible.
שִׁמְעוּ סִיפּוּר: הַהוֹרִים שֶׁל יוֹסִילָקְחוּ אוֹתוֹ לְטִיּוּל בַּר מִצְוָה לְאֵירוֹפָּה וְאַבָּא שֶׁל יוֹסִי רָצָה לְבַקֵּר בְּכַמָּה שֶׁיּוֹתֵר מְקוֹמוֹת.
Every day they left the hotel after breakfast, drove all day, and in the evening arrived at a hotel in a different city, had dinner, and went to bed.
בְּכָל יוֹם מִימֵי הַטִּיּוּל הֵם יָצְאוּ מֵהַמָּלוֹן אַחֲרֵי אֲרוּחַת הַבּוֹקֶר, נָסְעוּ כָּל הַיּוֹם בָּאוֹטוֹ וּבָעֶרֶב הִגִּיעוּ לְמָלוֹן בְּעִיר אַחֶרֶת, אָכְלוּ אֲרוּחַת עֶרֶב וְהָלְכוּ לִישׁוֹן.
Eventually, what Yossi remembers from his Bar Mitzvah trip is mainly the long hours of driving in the car.
