A slice - Slices

A slice of bread is a piece we cut from the bread using a knife. If we want to say that we cut the bread into slices, we use the verb "to slice."

פְּרוּסַת לֶחֶם הִיא חֲתִיכָה שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ חוֹתְכִים מֵהַלֶּחֶם בְּאֶמְצָעוּת סַכִּין.

אִם אֲנַחְנוּ רוֹצִים לְהַגִּיד שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ חוֹתְכִים אֶת הַלֶּחֶם לִפְרוּסוֹת אֲנַחְנוּ נִשְׁתַּמֵּשׁ בְּשֵׁם הַפֹּעַל לִפְרוֹס.

When we have a slice of bread, we can spread our favorite spread on it, for example: butter, chocolate, jam, or cheese.

כַּאֲשֶׁר יֵשׁ לָנוּ פְּרוּסַת לֶחֶם אֲנַחְנוּ יְכוֹלִים לִמְרוֹחַ עָלֶיהָ מִמְרָח שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ אוֹהֲבִים לְמָשָׁל: חֶמְאָה, שׁוֹקוֹלָד, רִיבָּה אוֹ גְּבִינָה.

If we want to make toast, we can take two slices of bread, place yellow cheese in the middle, and heat it in a toaster.

אִם אֲנַחְנוּ רוֹצִים לְהָכִין טוֹסְט, אֶפְשָׁר לָקַחַת שְׁתֵּי פְּרוּסוֹת לֶחֶם לָשִׂים בָּאֶמְצַע גְּבִינָה צְהוּבָּה וּלְחַמֵּם בְּטוֹסְטֶר.
