To take
The infinitive "לקחת" (to take) has, of course, a physical meaning: For example, I can take my bag when I leave the house, or I can take my children to school.
שֵׁם הַפֹּעַל לָקַחַת יֵשׁ לוֹ, כַּמּוּבָן, מַשְׁמָעוּת פִיזִית: אֲנִי יְכוֹלָה לָקַחַת אֶת הַתִּיק שֶׁלִּי כְּשֶׁאֲנִי יוֹצֵאת מֵהַבַּיִת, וַאֲנִי יְכוֹלָה לָקַחַת אֶת הַיְּלָדִים שֶׁלִּי לְבֵית הַסֵּפֶר.
However, we also have several interesting expressions with the infinitive "to take":
אֲבָל יֵשׁ לָנוּ גַּם כַּמָּה בִּיטּוּיִים מְעַנְיְנִים עִם שֵׁם הַפֹּעַל 'לָקַחַת':
I can "take my time," meaning not to rush, to think carefully about what I am doing, without stress.
אֲנִי יְכוֹלָה "לָקַחַת אֶת הַזְּמַן", כְּלוֹמַר לֹא לְמַהֵר, לַחֲשׁוֹב טוֹב עַל מָה שֶׁאֲנִי עוֹשָׂה, בְּלִי לַחַץ.
I can also "take a risk" if there's something I want to do but am unsure of its success. After all, those who are unwilling to take risks have no chance of succeeding.
אֲנִי יְכוֹלָה גַּם "לָקַחַת סִיכּוּן", אִם יֵשׁ מַשֶּׁהוּ שֶׁאֲנִי רוֹצָה לַעֲשׂוֹת וַאֲנִי לֹא בְּטוּחָה שֶׁאֲנִי אַצְלִיחַ. מִי שֶׁלֹּא רוֹצֶה לָקַחַת סִיכּוּן אֵין לוֹ סִיכּוּי לְהַצְלִיחַ.

1. The student decided to take on the challenge and work tirelessly on every single detail in the program to prepare the project perfectly.
